Brave Combat Federation has announced that its 12 event will be hosted in Indonesia. The agreement to conduct the event in the country was officially signed by KHK Sports CEO Mohammed Shahid.
Indonesia is home to singer-songwriter Anggun, Miss International 2017 Kevin Lilliana, martial artists and Hollywood actors Joe Taslim and Iko Uwais, and ONE Championship fighter Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol. It is one of the 11 countries in Southeast Asia.
“Brave 12” will mark the first time Brave CF is conducting an event in Southeast Asia. Aside from its home country, the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion has hosted events in Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Jordan.
According to Shahid, Brave CF is ambitiously looking forward to hosting events in more countries in Europe, Africa and Far East Asia. Several factors have to be considered in hosting these events, the Brave CF President said.
Value creation for MMA and globalizing the sport will be the main aim for the promotion in 2018. This is in line with the announcement earlier this year that the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the 2018 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) World Championships.
The “Brave 12” fight card has yet to be announced. Newly signed athletes are expected as Brave CF has announced that more athletes will be signed to compete in the promotion while expanding its global footprint by expanding possibilities to access the content from the promotion over the digital platforms.
Before the event in Indonesia, Brave CF is hosting its 11th event in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on April 13, 2018. This will be the third time the promotion is holding an event in Brazil.
The first Brave CF event in Brazil titled “Brave 3: Battle in Brazil” took place on March 18, 2017. One of the matches was a catchweight bout between Julio Cesar Neves and Fernando Colman.
